Hi, everyone! My name is LeeAnn and I’m a retired Navy Veteran, Mom, Entrepreneur, Blogger, Veteran Advocate, and lover of everything JESUS and Doberman! My goal in life is to empower and inspire other women and provide them the tools to be the GIRL BOSSES God meant for them to be! I’m a little (actually a LOT) ADHD and have struggled for years with depression and anxiety issues. But in the end, I’ve learned to manage them and be productive and NOT let those issues dictate my life.
I started my blogging adventures about a year ago more as a hobby. It wasn’t until this year that I learned how blogging could actually BE an income-generating machine that could become a sole source of income! I do a lot of volunteer work with women and veterans and see the struggles that so many faces with finding a job that pays the bills. For many women, the cost of childcare prevents them from working which keeps them on welfare. I was raised by a single mom who waited tables to put food on the table for me and my two sisters. Before my military career, that’s exactly what I did as well. But that is a hard life and one that doesn’t always pay the bills and definitely doesn’t help with making family time.
I created GIRL BOSSES ROCK to provide a platform to teach other women (and men too if they are interested) that blogging and other internet-based ideas could possibly be the answer to their employment problems. Women are amazing! We work hard, raise kids, keep a good home, and so much more. With the right tools and a Tribe of strong women behind them, more women CAN become the GIRL BOSS that God intended them to become. I want to help you get there!
Aside from my blogging, I am the proud mom of one grown human (boy) and a teen (girl) and 3 Dobies and a half dobie/half shepherd mix (all inside dogs). Instead of having a toddler under my feet while I’m trying to write a post, I have these extremely needy and very large dogs under my feet or nagging at my arms! The struggle is REAL!
I hope that I’m able to inspire and empower at least a few of you struggling Mommies out there to take a chance on making a better future for yourself. This is actually the 2nd of my blogs. I have another one that is geared to saving money and also military & veteran resources. You can hop over and check it out at My Veteran Woman Life.
